The architectural itinerary of Mazzarino starts from Piazza Angelo Monterosso, where the Church of Santa Maria della Neve is located ( video ).

Behind the church, we find ourselves on Via Guglielmo Marconi, at the end of which we reach Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. After a few dozen meters, we find the Church of San Domenico on our right ( details ).

Continuing on Conso Vittorie Emanuele II until the end, after 150 meters we see the Basilica Santuario Maria Ss.Ma Del Mazzaro in front of us ( video ).

Looking at the Basilica on the left, the route continues for 415 meters along Via Evangelista Torricelli, which becomes Via Leonardo da Vinci, at the end of which we will be behind the Church of SS. Crocifisso dell’Olmo ( details ), whose entrance is located on Via Gallo.

Going back a few meters before entering Via Gallo, we are in Via Anzaldi, which, following for 200 meters, takes us to the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Built in the 14th century, between 1560 and 1575 it was dedicated to the Madonna della Catena. It houses a 1606 canvas by Paladini depicting the Immaculate Conception adored by Saint Francis, in which the painter portrays himself dressed in a Franciscan habit, signing with the words: “Philippus Paladini florentinus pingebat, anno 1606”.

Retracing the last 200 meters and returning in front of the Church of the SS. Crocifisso dell’Olmo, we follow Via Gallo which continues on Via Castelvecchio for a total of 500 meters and arrive at the Mazzarino Castle, known as ‘U Cannuni ( video ).

Returning to Via Castelvecchio and following it for 350 meters, we continue along Via Bivona for another 350 meters and return to Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Here, after 150 meters, we see the former Convent of the Carmelite Fathers and the Church of Carmine on our left ( video ).

We continue along the Corso for another 75 meters and turn right onto Via San Giuseppe, which we follow for 370 meters, then turning onto Via Roma, Via Purgatorio, Via la Bella to arrive at Via Maria Santissima delle Lacrime, at the end of which is the Church of Maria SS. delle Lacrime ( video ).

Leaving the church, walk along Via Mallia for 150 metres and following the route on the map for another 430 metres you arrive at the Church of Santa Maria di Gesù ( details ).

The next stop is 1.5 km away, following the map south, towards the town exit. Continue along Via della Repubblica for 120 meters, turn right onto Via Galileo Galilei and continue for 240 meters. Continue straight on Via Puglie for 160 meters, turn left onto Via della Regione and continue for 500 meters. Finally, continue along Via Cappuccini for 250 meters, arriving at the Parish of the Capuchin Friars ( details ).

Continuing along Via Cappuccini for 400 metres, we turn right onto Strada Provinciale 191 and after 140 metres we take the Contrada Piano Casazze on the left, where the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is located ( details ), the final point of our route.
